Google publishes a resource on optimising sites for AI agents

Chris Long has flagged a new Google resource on building "agent-friendly websites" on the WebDev resources page. The page treats AI agents as a new type of visitor that takes screenshots, uses the accessibility tree, and combines visual cues with semantic HTML to navigate sites: and provides specific guidance for sites that want to be navigable by agentic AI.

Meta updates Placements controls with format previews and aspect ratios

Bram Van der Hallen has also flagged a refresh of Meta's Placements controls view, which now highlights the differences between platforms and placements more explicitly. Hovering over the eye icon for each placement displays a preview of how the ad will appear on that specific surface, along with recommended formats and aspect ratios, supported images, and supported videos.

Ales Sturala flags the Meta Ads account ban risk from improperly configured AI integrations

Ales Sturala has published a clear analysis of the Meta Ads bans associated with AI tool integrations. The trigger is not "AI touched the account": it is the setup pattern: creating a Meta Developer App on a personal Facebook profile, leaving it in the default Development tier, using a personal access token, running an open-source MCP locally, and performing bulk writes.

Instagram API adds partnership ads label, new metrics, collaborative media, and engagement actions

Meta has published a substantial update to the Instagram Graph API, available through the Instagram API with Facebook Login. Meta Related Media bug routing spends to unintended ads

Barry Hott has flagged a serious bug in Meta Ads Manager: simply opening an ad to view its settings: even without making any changes: automatically queues Related Media to publish on the next save action. One account in Hott's analysis saw 96% of spend redirected to ads other than the intended one, rendering reporting unreliable.
