IN BRIEFGoogle plans to bring Store Sales connections from CRM systems and Google Sheets into Data Manager. Ginny Marvin's announcement was reported by Anu Adegbola on 8 September, with rollout described as coming in the following weeks.
What changed
This is a planned connection update, separate from the Local Customer Optimization rollout announced alongside it. The inspected reporting does not establish that the Store Sales connection is already available in every account. Ginny Marvin, publishing through AdsLiaison, remains the announcement contributor, while Anu receives credit for the subsequent report.
The useful preparation is to identify the offline dataset and its owner. A connection can reduce the work involved in moving data without fixing inconsistencies in that data. Before planning an upload process, agree how timestamps, values and transaction identifiers will be represented, and how corrections will be reconciled against the original system. These are readiness recommendations rather than undocumented requirements for the new connection.
For example, a retailer might have sales recorded by a store system and later adjusted for refunds in its CRM. If the media team evaluates one unadjusted export while the business evaluates another total, the reports can disagree for understandable reasons. Decide which record supports the intended analysis and retain enough information to explain changes. This example does not imply a specific refund-handling capability in Data Manager.
THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVEWhy it matters for advertisers
Offline measurement is useful when the resulting report can be interpreted against real trading activity. Keep a record of connection and data-definition changes so that a reporting increase is not automatically described as additional sales. Once the connection appears, verify its supported setup and eligibility in the account. The announcement is a reason to prepare a reliable process, not to assume that technical access guarantees complete measurement.
